NFB undertakes outreach initiatives to infuse the spirit of science and educate students and teachers on advanced techniques in biological sciences
Overview
The NFB outreach team conducts several hands on training Workshops at colleges, especially in rural and under-served communities, reaching out to almost one thousand students every year.
Our Training Programs
We have conducted over 50 on-campus / outreach programs and over 350 workshops / conferences with a reach of more than 1000 participants. Our facility has relevant instruments/equipment that we can carry on the field for the training of faculty and students. With a combination of lectures and practical sessions that are in line with industry standards, we provide a unique experience.
At NFB, we organise one-day outreach programmes to train faculty and students. During a one-day training programme, techniques such DNA Isolation and Electrophoresis Analysis, Plasmid Isolation and Analysis, PCR, and ELISA are carried out.
We have conducted over 50 on-campus / outreach programs and over 350 workshops / conferences with a reach of more than 1000 participants. Our two day training programs includes basic techniques in Molecular Biology, Protein extraction and PAGE, Applied Microbiology and many more.
The NFB offers students the opportunity to improve their research techniques and gain practical expertise through a 5-day immersive programme. Participants engage in hands-on training such as Protein purification and Analysis, Recombinant DNA technology and many more.
